Today Monday 14th March we spent our time in the library researching the European Union, also known simply as the EU. Students learned today what the EU is, why it was formed, and how they have combined democratic and socialist principles to create a unique form of government. We also looked at the concept of pooling sovereignty or giving up some independence in order to work with others. We will continue looking at the structure of the EU and how it functions.
